How a job is actually run

A part starts as a model and a drawing, and the first thing that happens is a review rather than a quote. That review is where a deep pocket, a sharp internal corner or a tolerance that the process cannot hold gets raised - while changing it is still free.

The route is then fixed: which machine, how many setups, what holds the part, and which features will be measured. Fixing that before cutting is what makes the price and the lead time mean something.

Ranges and reasons, not optimistic promises

Tolerance, lead time and finish all depend on geometry, material and quantity. We give a planning figure, explain what moves it, and confirm the specifics against the drawing before the job starts - because a remade part costs far more than a realistic lead time.

What we are deliberately not

We are not a broker. Parts are not passed to an unknown shop and marked up, and the inspection record comes from the machines that made the part. Where a step is subcontracted - heat treatment and some finishing processes - the subcontractor is named and the process record is kept with the order.

Common questions

What do you need to quote a part?

A 3D model (STEP, IGES or native CAD), a drawing with tolerances and datums, the material, the quantity and the finish. Quantity matters because setup cost is spread across it.

Can you help if the design is not finalised?

Yes. Sending a concept early usually saves money, because the manufacturability feedback can change the design while changes are still cheap.

Do you do prototypes and production?

Yes. Prototypes and small batches run on the same processes as production, so a design that works as a prototype will still work at volume.

Can you work from a sample part with no drawing?

Often yes - the part can be measured and a model built, though a drawing is always better because it states which dimensions are actually critical.

Do you export?

Parts are shipped worldwide. Destination and required delivery date should be stated at quotation so freight and documentation are priced in rather than added later.
